EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING

WHO: Anyone eligible to vote in St. Joseph County, Michigan. You can even register to vote same-day!

WHAT: Vote for all of your candidates and local ballot initiatives in-person BEFORE August 6th

​​

WHEN: Beginning Saturday, July 27th through Sunday, August 4th

​​

          Saturday, July 27th: 9am-5pm

​

           Sunday, July 28th: 10am-6pm

​

           Monday, July 29th: 9am-5pm

​

           Tuesday, July 30th: 9am-5pm

​

           Wednesday, July 31st: 11am-7pm

​

           Thursday, August 1st: 9am-5pm

​

           Friday, August 2nd: 9am-5pm

​

           Saturday, August 3rd: 10am-6pm

​

           Sunday, August 4th: 8am-4pm

​

NO IN-PERSON VOTING ON MONDAY, AUGUST 5th.

Tuesday, August 6th: FINAL DAY TO VOTE

Voters must go to their designated precincts during voting hours of 7:00am to 8:00pm.

PRIMARY VOTING RULES:

Voters can only vote in ONE (1) of the party columns, Democrat or Republican.

In order to avoid having your ballot spoiled/rejected/not properly counted when voting for Deborah J. Davis:

  • Mark ovals ONLY in the REPUBLICAN PARTY column on the ballot for candidates in each of the contested races.

    • NOTE: Voters DO NOT have to "declare" a party affiliation in order to vote in the Primary Election​

  • Completely fill in the oval next to "Deborah J. Davis"

    • NOTE: Each polling place has slightly different ballots. Names may be in any order, and columns may be in any order on the front or back of the page.​

  • You can vote in ANY of the Republican Party races, as well as vote on the two (2) millage requests that are in a separate column.

If you make a mistake or have a question about using the ballot, speak to one of the polling location workers, or for Absentee Ballots, contact the St. Joseph County Clerk at 269-467-5602.

 

Voters can be issued a "replacement" ballot

if there is a mistake made, but you MUST request the original ballot to be spoiled BEFORE submitting it.

Get registered to vote

To register to vote you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen

  • At least 18 years of age by election day

  • A resident of Michigan and the city, township, or village where you are applying to register to vote

 

Where to Register: 

You can register to vote for federal, state and local elections by mail, by visiting your county, city, township or village clerk’s office or going to any Secretary of State branch.

Moving soon?

Whenever you move to a new location which is a different district than where you moved from you must re-register to vote. If you move within the same district you must update your address with your local clerk, at your polling place on election day, at a Secretary of State Office or by mail.

​

A mail-in voter registration form can be obtained by contacting your county or local clerk's office.

​

Outside the U.S. temporarily?

If you are temporarily outside the U.S., you may use a Federal Postcard Application (FPCA) form to register. FPCA forms are distributed through U.S. embassies and military bases.
